The purpose of universities’ existence is to educate
graduates who possess a high level of knowledge, have a well-developed sense of
social responsibility, are ethical, rational, and productive, who are skilled
at identifying national and universal problems, producing solutions to them,
and contributing to universal science. In today’s world, where science and
technology are developing at a great pace and have turned into an international
competition, it is of great importance that we move forward without falling
behind in this race and maintain our position at the forefront, while at the
same time not compromising our civilization and universal values.
The “Law No. 7141 on Amendments to the Higher Education Law
and Certain Laws and Decree Laws,” which was published in the Official Gazette
dated 18 May 2018 and numbered 30425 and entered into force, established
Isparta University of Applied Sciences.
Our Directorate has been included in the administrative
organization chart of our University in accordance with Decree Law No. 124,
through the merger of the Comptroller’s Department Directorate and the Support
Services Department Directorate, and in accordance with Decree Law No. 190.
Our University, established by Law No. 7141, is in a rapid
development process. Our Directorate has prioritized solutions rather than
postponing problems, has placed the interests of the public and our University
at the forefront in meeting the goods and service needs of the units requesting
them, has consistently ensured that resources are used appropriately according
to needs with all its staff, and has ensured that expenditures are carried out
by taking into account principles such as transparency, openness, and
competition in order to procure the best supplies at the most appropriate
price.
Although needs are unlimited, budgetary resources are
limited, which constitutes an important obstacle to achieving the desired
goals. Therefore, the efficient use of existing resources is one of our primary
objectives.
